Hi, I'm Nate. I built Poker Party as a coding project. I wanted a way to play Texas Hold'em with friends without downloads, accounts, or real money, so I made one.

One thing I cared about was the deal. Every hand starts with a fresh 52-card deck, shuffled using your browser's built-in secure random number generator (the same kind used for encryption). The cards don't follow a fixed order or repeat a pattern from one hand to the next.

It started as a "how hard could this be?" experiment and kept growing: dealer-style card animations, bots you can practice against, and a server that keeps games running even on picky Wi-Fi. Everything on the site is built from scratch, and I'm still adding to it. You can see what's changed on the What's new page.
